“Ashworth Brothers was a 19th- and early 20th-century English china manufacturer, known for producing ironstone and earthenware from 1862 to 1969, particularly the famed Mason's Patent Ironstone China. The company, founded in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, also made other wares and was known for its transferware and hand-colored patterns, often featuring oriental, floral, and natural motifs. After the Ashworth family's direct involvement ended in 1883, the business continued under the Goddard family and later incorporated, before eventually ceasing trade in 1969.”
