As shown. See all photos. Belonged to my late mother, and likely her parents prior. Possibly passed down from farther back than that. To the best of my knowledge this is ironstone transferware. Crazing and an edge chip. Still beautiful to display.

“The British Anchor Pottery Company Limited, established in 1884, was located on Anchor Road in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. They were known for producing earthenware and continued their operations until the 1970s. In the 1960s, British Anchor introduced the “Hostess Tableware” brand, which included both traditional and contemporary designs.
The company was eventually acquired by the Gailey Group Ltd., and in 1970, it merged with Thomas Poole & Gladstone China Ltd. to form Hostess Tableware Ltd.”
