Up for sale is this excellent and beautiful Japanese woodblock print by famed shin hanga artist, Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950). Yoshida is the forefather of the shin hanga printing movement. This woodblock print is titled, "In a Temple Yard," and depicts three women carrying their children in a lovely temple yard. It is from Yoshida's series, "Eight Scenes of Cherry Blossoms." This print is block-signed by Yoshida at lower right and titled at lower left. A true masterpiece. Matted and framed.

Yoshida is well-listed, with records up to $30,000. His work is featured in numerous museums, including the Japanese National Museum in Tokyo. If you collect woodblock prints, Yoshida's works are a must-have.

Print is in very good condition, with some minor toning. I have not inspected it outside the frame, unsure if it is laid down or not.

Print measures approximately 15 inches high x 10 inches wide (sight), likely measures 15.5 x 10.75 under the mat. Frame measures approximately 22.25
