The Vintage ( Circa.1970s ) Framed Limited Edition Abstract Modernism Landscape Etching Aquatint on Paper "Under the Sun", Pencil Signed By Artist René Carcan ( Belgian, 1925-1993 ) in Lower Right, and Numbered 'EA' in Lower Left. This Charming Abstract Colorful Lyrical Landscape Scene Inspired By the Surroundings of Brussels, which Features Dreamlike, Almost Theatrical Setting with A Focus on Atmosphere and Mood. He Developed An Artistic Style which Has Been Compared to Henri Matisse's; of Distilling A Vision to An Essential Essence. His Use of Color was Influenced By Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee. The Etching in Good Condition Shows Toning, and Scratch on the Glass and Frame Consistent with Age.
