**Notes: Blackberries can be grown on a trellis. They need to be pruned frequently to keep them from becoming invasive. The berries are highly nutritious. The leaves and roots are used as herbal medicine (please research for more information). Blackberries are expensive at the grocery store so growing your own would save you money. Because you would be growing them, you would know how they were grown, and if grown organically, much healthier. Great addition to a permaculture food forest. Growing your own food is an asset and provides some security
