This works but it is a GENERATION ONE. Why is this a problem because WD put into effect a code you had to enter to get the unit to work with the app or the online web tool. Generation One units DO NOT have a numbered code. So that means you either have to research online or have to get on the horn with the dude's at WD and have them help you. Important to note: This is not an easy setup in particular. You have to have some knowledge of networking and how to connect the device to the router and then enable it in the network so you can see it. And then you gotta go through the process of calling WD or figuring a work around for entering the code. PLEASE DO NOT BUY IF YOU CAN'T DO THESE STEPS - SOLD AS IS.
ALSO: it is missing one of its feet that keep it balanced.
