This coin is an Antoninianus of Ceasar Gaius Pius Esuvius Tetricus (Tetricus I : 270-274 A,D.) struck at the Colonia Claudia Ara Agrppinensium in Cologne, Germany when it was the Capital of the Gallic Empire (a breakaway empire of the Roman Empire.), but possibly could have been minted in Treveri (Trier).

The Obverse reads - IMP C TETRICVS PF AVG - and has the head of Tetricus with a Radiate crown and his shoulders cuirassed (armored).

The Reverse reads - HILARITAS AVG - The figure of Hilaritas is standing facing left, holding a palm branch and a cornucopia.

The coin is struck in billon and weighs about 2.5 gm while having a diameter of 17-18mm.
