Beautiful cottagecore vintage décor
The traditionally-shaped Japanese porcelain bell by Sango in this collection was designed by a Sango artist. Inspired by a 17th-century Imari pattern, the decorative motif also reflects a clean, contemporary style. The original Imari decorations were characterized by masses of cloudy blue underglaze, upon which were applied floral and basketweave motifs in iron-red, with touches of green, yellow, brownish-black and gilt. The distinctive rust-red, green and blue Imari hues are beautifully emphasized against the white porcelain of the bell. The traditional basketweave motif is used for colorful borders at the bell's top and bottom, and the gilt is confined to the dainty handle.
