Vintage Art Deco, Inc. 1989 Dancer Brooch.
This Art Deco style dancer pin is by Larry Joseph. He trained under Hattie Carnegie, and purchased the company after her death. He kept it going until 1976, and in the 1980s he purchased a company in Rhode Island to make Art Deco style jewelry. He had obtained the rights to several old Art Deco designs, and in 1989 he established "Art Deco, Inc." The company remained in business for only a short time, making the pieces quite rare. Pieces are stamped with registry numbers and "Art Deco/89".
This brooch is in good condition with some minor paint loss, mostly on her finger tips. I do not have the original box. Please refer to my photos for more details and condition.
