Amazing detailed original art piece with custom framing. This original painting/drawing is of a Native American beaded Spontoon Pipe tomahawk with heart shaped cut out. The fine detail on this piece is incredible. The fur handle cover looks almost real. The beads are bright and defined. We believe that this piece was done with oil pastel pencils and is in it's original custom frame. Spontoon Pipe Tomahawks are known for their delicate handles, usually crafted in fruitwood. Forged blades having upturned tines and engraved decorations. Also known as Pipe Axes, these Indian War Clubs are detailed works of art in their own rite as they are hand forged. These items were prized by Chiefs. Incredible detail and beautiful original custom framing. Signed Webb C 89 Chase Webb Born: 1910. Died: 1991
