Woolworth's opened it's first store near Syracuse (Utica) NY in 1879. They called themselves a "five and dime", which foreshadowed the modern dollar store. They grew into the first international retail chain, complete with lunch counters & soda fountains. They closed in 1997. Their only remaining stores are in Australia.
This is an example of their value-priced, quality, easel style frame. Woolworth's themselves is a retail legend & American icon.
